Chaos, Charisma and Rock and Roll, Yungblud Ignites Salt Lake City

August 29, 2025

Fans from as far away as Liverpool flocked to downtown Salt Lake City this past Tuesday night to see the sensation that is currently taking over the rock world – Yungblud.

Dominic Harrison, better known as Yungblud, has proven himself to be more than just a flash in the pan or a rising star.  He’s a rock and roll movement.  Between sold-out tours, a feature film documentary and the launch of his own music festival, Bludfest, Yungblud is shaping the future of rock and roll right now.  What cements his place as a star and the future though is his unshakeable confidence, charisma, fearless personality and a genuine spirit.

Hours before doors opened lines wrapped around the block and down the street another 4 blocks as fans waited to secure their place and claim the best spots available.  By the time the Union Event Center opened its doors the fans’ energy was practically buzzing with electricity.  Fans rushed to the venue floor holding signs and talking about Yungblud and the music that brought everyone together for the night.

When Yungblud strutted on to the stage wearing a black vest, matching pants and sunglasses, the venue exploded to life.  Fans were screaming and calling his name as Yungblud broke into the opening song “Hello Heaven, Hello.” The vest and sunglasses made it halfway through the song before they were tossed aside and Yungblud danced shirtless across the stage performing while wearing his grin, eliciting another roar from the crowd.  Judging by the energy of the venue and the fans’ connection it was clear that we were in for more than just another concert.

What separates Yungblud from a lot of other acts is the connection he makes.  Between songs Yungblud spoke directly to the crowd and individuals, telling stories and making every person in the room feel like a part of his circle.

In the night’s most touching moment, Yungblud paused and asked the crowd if it was ok to sing a song for a friend.  He said he wanted to sing this for one of his heroes and closest friends, Ozzy Osbourne.  With the emotions clearly displayed on his face he recalled how at their last meeting Ozzy had told him to “go conquer America.” After a brief pause, he declared “I didn’t know he would be gone so soon.  I thought he would live forever,” before breaking into “Changes.”

The rest of the night was unrelenting energy, emotions and music as Yungblud performed and invited fans on stage.  At one point Yungblud invited a fan on stage after asking her if she knew how to play a song on the guitar and she was welcomed on the stage hugging him tight and then playing guitar next to the rock sensation.

Closing the show out with “Zombies” the crowd sang along nearly drowning out Yungblud as their voices all filled the venue, mixing in emotions of joy, angst and unity in a cathartic moment.  Just as fans thought the night was over Yungblud announced to the fans, he’d be outside in 45 minutes to meet them all as the fans exited and lined up waiting for a chance to meet him.  True to his words, Yungblud appeared later meeting fans, posing for pictures and signing autographs making sure to make anyone he came into contact with feel special.

In a time when people say “Rock is dead” Yungblud is proving that it’s not.  He is proving that it’s alive, raw, and he’s making it more personal than ever.
