Pop-punk, alt/rock group Yellowcard are officially back and louder than ever, announcing their first new full-length album in nearly ten years. Titled ‘Better Days,’ the record drops October 10 via Better Noise Music, marking a new chapter for the band after their 2017 farewell and 2022 reunion.

The band kicked off the rollout with the release of the title track and lead single “Better Days,” alongside a music video featuring the band members dressed as iconic ‘80s movie characters and performing inside a video rental store. Vocalist Ryan Key shares, “We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness. This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years, and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it.”

In crafting Better Days, Yellowcard took a fresh approach—this time allowing themselves the freedom to ask for help and take their time. Guitarist Ryan Mendez invited his friend Nick along into the writing sessions and through Long it resulted in a collaboration with none other than Travis Barker, who not only produced and executive produced the album, but also played drums across all ten tracks.

Yellowcard, best known for 2000s pop-punk staples like “Ocean Avenue” and “Only One,” have cemented themselves as one of the most influential bands of their genre. After disbanding in 2017, the group’s 2022 reunion has sparked a new creative era, and Better Days feels like both a tribute to their past and a bold step forward.
