Third Eye Blind Summer Gods Tour at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre
December 5, 2025

Pop/punk rising star Taylor Acorn is closing out her current tour promoting her new album “Problem Child” tomorrow night in Cleveland, OH. Fans in Salt Lake City got to enjoy the show though last week as she rolled through Utah on Friday, November 28th for a stop at The Soundwell. Fans were treated to a high energy, emotionally charged show that not only showcased her evolution as an artist but cemented her place as a fan favorite here in Utah.
The evening kicked off with Wilt, a bedroom rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2022. Though relatively new the band performed with confidence and without a hitch as if they were playing a hometown show. I was unfamiliar with Wilt before the show, but I quickly realized that I was in the minority in that, as lots of the fans there were excited for their set when the band was getting ready to take the stage and once they came out, the venue erupted in cheers.
Frontwoman Chelsea Rifkin worked the stage with confidence and the charisma of a headliner effortlessly connecting with the fans. Watching this set was the type of situation where you realize you are watching a band that’s on their way to something bigger and this was an “I saw them when” moment.
After Wilt wrapped a set worthy of the headline themselves, the room started to buzz with anticipation. This show was set to mark Taylor Acorn’s second visit to Utah this year after her stop in Salt Lake City on the Summer School Tour. The Soundwell was near capacity with fans eagerly awaiting her return to the stage.
When the lights dropped and Acorn and the band appeared, the cheers that filled the room made one thing clear, Salt Lake City has claimed her as one of their favorite artists. Wasting no time, Acorn kicked the show off with “Poster Child” the title track from her latest album. The reaction from fans was enthusiastic as they cheered their approval and started to belt the lyrics right back at her. Acorn’s face lit up with a smile as she took in the moment and fed off the crowd’s energy. Keeping the momentum and new music going they went straight into “People Pleaser another track from Problem Child.
The rest of the show blended new songs and fan favorites together with material from ‘Problem Child’ making up half of the setlist. What stood out was the fans’ quick embrace of her new material, showcasing the connection between Acorn’s music and her fans.
Overall, Acorn’s stop at The Soundwell felt more than just another tour stop, it was confirmation of her rise, and the connection Utah has built with her and her journey. As she closes out this tour one thing is for certain, Utah fans will be counting the days until her return.
