Royal Bliss Annual Thanksgiving Bash Returns to The Depot
November 18, 2024
Utah’s own, Royal Bliss, is returning to The Depot in downtown Salt Lake City on November 29th for their annual Thanksgiving Bash in what is sure to be a great night of friends, family and killer music.

The Salt Lake City event traces its roots back to the Zephyr Club when Royal Bliss would fill the venue the night before Thanksgiving. Due to the success of the holiday show, they eventually moved over to Port O’ Call, which gave them an even bigger stage to grow the event and soon became a staple for fans of the band. Once Port O’ Call closed the show moved over to The Depot where it continued to grow and has turned into a sold-out event every year as fans use it as an official start to the holiday season.

“It’s been a tradition, like a thanksgiving tradition that we didn’t intend on starting,” says vocalist Neal Middleton when asked about the show. “It’s one of those shows where you have people that have been following Royal Bliss for years and years and years and they come home for Thanksgiving and the holidays and it’s the one show they see of Royal Bliss. This is the one that everybody comes to. The memories with the fans throughout the years and all the amazing experiences, I’m extremely grateful for it, Thankful.”

This show will see Royal Bliss treating fans to fan favorites from their deep catalogue that spans over 25 years with fan favorites such as “I Was Drunk,” “Crazy,” “Save Me,” and newer hits such as “Medication” and “Pain” among others that have cracked the top 20 on radio airplay the last few years. The band has been teasing new music on their social media with a cover of “I Touch Myself” by The Divinyls so perhaps we will see them perform this song at the holiday show as it’s one of their biggest shows of the year and they pull out all the stops and new music for the fans.

Most importantly it’s a way for the fans to reconnect with the band yearly on one of their biggest stages they play, catch up with friends and family and while supporting Utah’s band and keeping local rock music alive.
