Morgan Wade at The Commonwealth Room in Salt Lake City

March 20, 2023

Rising country music sensation, Morgan Wade, is gearing up for some wild days ahead.  Not only is Wade out on her first headlining tour “No Signs of Slowing Down,” but she is also gearing up to release her follow up album to the critically acclaimed “Reckless.”  She is also attending the CMT awards here soon where she is up for her first time nomination for Breakthrough Female Video of The Year, for the video to her smash hit “Wilder Days.”

Wade recently made a stop in Utah to play a sold out show at The Soundwell in Salt Lake City.  The show was originally scheduled to be held at The State Room but due to overwhelming demand it was moved to The Soundswell in order to allow more people to see the show.  Once it was moved to the bigger venue it wasn’t long before the new venue was at capacity also.

Fans arrived early hoping to get the best spots in the house and even some fans who didn’t have tickets were waiting around hoping to score any that might go on sale.  Once in the packed venue everyone was looking forward to the show with a lot of fans eagerly waiting to see her headlining a show after vising Salt Lake City last year opening for Ryan Hurd.

Once Wade walked out onto the stage the fans filled the venue with loud applause and cheers.  If possible, the cheers got even louder when the opening chords of “Don’t Cry” came out of the speakers.  Fans started singing along with Wade and didn’t stop singing for the rest of the night.  The 90 minute set seemed to fly by as Wade performed hit after hit of hers which she has plenty of despite Reckless only coming out a few years ago.  The crowd seemed to know every song which only showcased Wade’s appeal and impact as an artist already.

Once it was time for the encore break Wade told the crowd she would rather stay on and perform some acoustic songs instead of walking off for the break which caused the fans to cheer again.  After the acoustic break Wade went into her smash single “Wilder Days” to close out the show.  I have never seen a venue come alive the way they did for this song.  Everyone was on their feet singing along and the band seemed to feed off the energy as they seemed to pack a little more punch for this song.

After it was over Wade walked around singing items for the crowd as the band kept playing for another good 5 minutes before Wade headed backstage and the band walked off stage.

If anything was clear from this performance it’s that Wade has only begun her musical journey.  The way that fans resonate with her music show how bright of a future she has.

You can see Wade out on the road now through May on the “No Signs of Slowing Down Tour” before she heads over to Europe for a few dates over there.  Find ticket and date info here.
