Lindsey Stirling Brings the Snow Waltz Tour's Holiday Magic to Salt Lake City

December 15, 2025

Lindsey Stirling transformed Salt Lake City into a Christmas themed wonderland as her Snow Waltz Tour stopped at The Maverik Center blending choreography, visuals and her signature violin into a masterful performance.  The near capacity crowd was treated to a homecoming show that was equal parts holiday celebration and concert with Stirling moving easily between instrumentals, dance, and aerial elements that defined the holiday stage production.

A Crowd Fully Engaged

Right from the start of the night the connection between Stirling and her fans was clear.  Groups dressed as backup dancers headed eagerly to their seats brimming with smiles as others talked about coming to her shows since her early days.  Once Stirling and her dancers took the stage the energy in the venue took a giant leap as fans applauded and called out their love to Stirling.  When Stirling and the dancers left the stage and made their way onto the floor the crowd came to life with renewed energy as both Stirling and the dancers interacted with the fans.  Those moments helped make the giant production into a more intimate performance for the lucky fans on the floor and no doubt helped shape core memories especially for the younger fans in the audience.

Interactive Moments Steal the Show

One of the evening’s highlights came when Stirling invited the audience to help her with one of her social media videos that she has come to be known for.  Her shows will usually highlight a celeb or two at her concert with the audience reacting and the Salt Lake City stop was no different.  The playful skit for Salt Lake City featured Dancing with the Stars alum Allison Holker.  Acting as a judge, Holker held up scorecards judging Stirling and her dancers on their performance, while the audience reacted in mock agreement, surprise and boos.  The audience eagerly played into the bit creating a shared moment that they can relive through Stirling’s social media.

A Story of Persistence

Beyond the spectacle and show, Stirling took a moment to share her journey with the fans, reflecting on the challenges she faced at the start of her career.  She spoke to the crowd about her dream of being a performative violinist and dancer and how she would repeatedly get told that there was no market for that and no one wanted to take a chance on her.  Instead of giving up on her dream Stirling took it upon herself to carve her own path in the business, creating and sharing her own videos, building a fan base that accepted her different style and defining her success on her own terms.  The moment resonated with the crowd as Stirling laid her story out and told everyone to never stop chasing their dreams.

Dancers, Visuals and Atmosphere

One can’t describe the show without talking about Stirling’s incredible dance team who are captivating throughout the show.  Their choreography along with Stirling’s is what makes the show the visual spectacle that it is alongside Stirling’s masterful violin performance.  Among one of the most striking sequences in the show was when the dancers and Stirling rose into the air holding onto umbrellas as snow fell around them and onto the stage.  The music and the visual element of their dancing in the air perfectly complimented the theme of a Snow Waltz.

A Holiday Concert That Leaves an Impression

By the time the final notes hit the speakers, the Snow Walts had delivered far more than just another concert.  Lindsey Stirling’s performance at The Maverik Center blended her dancing and music, while perfectly showcasing the bond between the artist and her fans, all while leaving fans entertained, inspired and reminded of the magic of the season.
