Concert Review: Lee Brice Live at The Sandy Amphitheater in Utah

June 23, 2025

Country music fans flocked to Sandy, Utah this past Thursday night to see country musician Lee Brice perform at the Sandy Amphitheater.

If you’re not familiar with the name you’ve more than likely heard his music on the radio a time or two.  Brice is the man behind such hits as “Love Like Crazy,” “I Drive Your Truck” and “I Don’t Dance.”

Before he had his breakout, Lee Brice was writing music for some of Nashville’s top acts including “More Than a Memory” for Garth Brooks, “Still” for Tim McGraw and a handful of other songs for other musicians including Kenny Chesney.  After he hit it big with “Love Like Crazy” his debut album catapulted to number 9 on the Country Albums charts, and the rest is history.

His songs touch on subjects including love, loss and the ups and downs of life, which people relate to and that connection was on full display at the concert last week.  People sang along to hit after hit and in between the songs listened as Brice told stories about writing the songs or getting a call from Garth Brooks for “More Than a Memory.”  The laid-back way that he told the stories resonated with the crowd and the heartfelt lyrics pulled the fans in as he delivered a phenomenal performance.

When he talked about writing “I Don’t Dance” and his relationship with his wife you could see the genuine emotions on his face and looking around at the crowd those same emotions were mirrored back from couples in the audience.  When he talked about the gratitude he had for the armed forces and the people who put everything on the line so we can live our lives, and he can do what he does there was no denying the truth of his words and the crowd cheered as he talked and then went into “I Drive Your Truck.”

The performance was everything that is good about country music.  A talented performer who also brings a genuine feel-good vibe connecting with the fans and telling his stories both through songs and his talks in between them.  It was clear that Lee Brice loves to perform for his fans and has a genuine connection with them.

The concert was a perfect mix of music, emotions and human connection all wrapped up in one evening, set to an incredible setlist of songs.  If you get the chance to see Brice perform do yourself a favor and go to the show.  You won’t be disappointed.
