Some concerts feel like a chill night of music.  Others feel like a party.  The Lakeview show in Salt Lake City on October 6th felt like its sole purpose was to tear the roof off the building.

In what may have been the most energetic show to hit The Soundwell all year the country/rock duo delivered a set of hard-hitting songs and relentless energy and fired up a crowd that was ready to match them every step of the way.

With a full venue, Jesse and Luke wasted no time in turning The Soundwell into their own personal playground.  The two worked the stage effortlessly, switching sides of the stage and feeding off each other’s and the crowds energy.  Some artists just have that natural commanding presence on stage and these two have that in spades.

Blending their styles of music, country with hard hitting rock and some metalcore elements, Lakeview has carved out a sound all their own that doesn’t sit comfortably in either genre but resonates with their fans.  It’s a sound that lends itself especially well to a live show, where their heavy riffs, pounding rhythm and infectious energy hooks the audience.

Fans were treated to a set that always kept the energy high but some of the biggest reactions came from a few certain songs.  “Wrong Side of The Track” and “See Me in a Suit” got the crowd roaring and screaming the lyrics right back at the stage as Lakeview performed with giant smiles plastered across their faces.  The biggest reaction of the night was reserved for their song “Wreck My Night” which has recently powered itself into the number one position on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown.  Judging by the reception from the fans in The Soundwell that song is going to hold onto that spot and make some waves on radio.

By the time the show was over fans were left wanting more and Lakeview showed exactly why they have garnered a reputation for explosive and engaging live shows.

Salt Lake City has seen its share of high energy shows this year, but when it comes to pure energy, Lakeview’s show at The Soundwell will be a difficult one to top.
