Kamelot Brings The Dark Asylum World Tour to The Complex in Salt Lake City
September 16, 2026

Kamelot brought the Dark Asylum World Tour to The Complex in Salt Lake City for a night that felt as much a theatrical production as it did a metal show. With Frozen Crown and Visions of Atlantis opening the show, elaborate lighting, atmospheric staging and soaring vocals, it all helped create a cinematic experience that continued the whole night.
Frozen Crown opened the evening, with this tour marking the first tour of North America for the Italian power metal band.
Despite being newcomers to the US, Frozen Crown had quite a few supporters in the audience sporting their merchandise and cheering them on. Heavy guitars, melodic leads and powerful vocals gave the early crowd a show and reason to get involved early, setting the tone for what would be a night built around the connection between the bands and their fans.
Visions of Atlantis followed, bringing their own theatrical identity to the stage. With the band’s pirate imagery and symphonic sound, their performance transformed the venue. Michele Guaitoli and Clementine Delauney commanded the stage with their vocals while quickly making the audience part of the show with their banter and performances.
In one of the most memorable moments of the night, the participation took a leap when the fans across the floor all sat down and joined together to row in unison, becoming part of Visions of Atlantis’ seafaring world for a few minutes.
When Kamelot took the stage the energy and scale of the production took a big jump. The band’s already cinematic sound and imagery pushed the show further into a theatrical world with the stage lighting and production elements helping shape the performance and not merely highlight the musicians.
At the center of it was frontman Tommy Karevik, whose vocals moved between powerful melodies and heavier moments as the production pushed the show forward. The combination of the music and production made the entire performance feel like a world constructed without losing the feel and energy of a live metal concert.
Frozen Crown’s Giada Etro joined Kamelot multiple times throughout their set adding her powerful vocals and commanding attention, giving the fans another taste of Frozen Crown’s power. Later in the night Visions of Atlantis vocalist Clementine Delauney returned to the stage as well with the three vocalists performing together.
Seeing all three on the stage became one of the highlights of the evening as the voocals took center stage and commanded attention.
Fans sang along, raised their hands and cheered throughout the night as each band took their turn showcasing their theatrical energy.
Frozen Crown began the night by introducing themselves to the Salt Lake City crowd on their first North American Tour. Visions of Atlantis built on that and turned the audience into part of their sea faring crew, and Kamelot brought everyone together for a dark cinematic finale.
