Incubus Takes Fans on a Nostalgic and Soul Stirring Night in Utah

July 16, 2025

Last weekend on a sweltering Saturday night fans flocked to the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater despite the heat to catch the Alt/Funk rock icons Incubus perform their album 'Morning View' in its entirety along with special guests Manchester Orchestra and Paris Jackson.

We were all taken on an emotionally charged nostalgic trip to the early 2000's as Incubus played their seminal album. 'Morning View' is an album that shaped the era for a lot of us, and it was clear how much this album still resonates with the fans as the venue filled with everyone waiting to hear it performed.

From the moment the opening notes of "Nice to Know You" hit the speakers the crowd was full of energy cheering and singing along with the passion of the fans never dipping throughout the night.

Brandon Boyd proved once again why he remains one of rock music's most magnetic frontmen.  His voice is still just as powerful as it was when the album first came out. Boyd belted out the lyrics to songs that shaped us, and led us all on a journey, equal parts spiritual and emotional.

The band played a flawless set, showcasing their synergy and their drive to remain a pivotal force in music. The DJ scratching live on stage also gave an added touch to the show that was appreciated by fans in attendance with many remarking about them not using backing sounds for the effects.

After the conclusion of 'Morning View' the band jumped straight into fan favorites without taking the usual moment of exiting the stage before returning for an encore.  Jumping straight into "Megalomaniac" never letting the energy fall.  The night was wrapped up with the smash hit "Pardon Me" closing the night on a high note that left the crowd on a high and yearning for more as the band took a bow.

Overall, the night was an incredible moment.  Incubus didn't just play a concert; they created a shared moment for everyone in attendance to relive an album that remains a major part of everyone who was there. Reminding us all, of how we first felt when we heard these songs and how far we've come since then.
