On his tour, Danny Brown stopped in Houston and played at White Oak Music Hall. The supporting acts were Femtanyl and underscores, and they brought the energy needed for the rest of the show. Femtanyl had technical difficulties at the start, so while they waited for the computer to boot up, they told jokes to the crowd. It was very laid-back and fun, and once the music finally started, a mosh pit immediately formed. The energy was electric and carried through the whole night. After Femtanyl, underscores took the stage. She built off the vibe they set and amped the energy up even more.

Danny Brown put on a fantastic show, and the crowd matched his energy. The mosh pit that started at the beginning lasted until the very end, and I had my first real mosh experience. Being part of it amped me up even more and made this show one of my favorite concert experiences. With the strobe-like lighting and constant movement, it was also one of the most difficult shows I’ve photographed, but I enjoyed every second. At the end of the night, he spoke to the audience and told us how much he loves Houston. It felt like a personal moment and was the perfect way to end the concert.

Danny Brown’s next stops include Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and several dates in Europe. If he’s coming to a venue near you, I highly recommend catching this show.
