Beach Bunny at The White Oak Music Hall in Houston Texas

Last night, I had the opportunity to photograph a band I’ve listened to for four years- Beach Bunny. I had seen them live before, but they were a supporting act, so it was really cool to see them as a headliner. Their supporting act was Scarlet Demore, and I fell in love with their music immediately.

For thirty minutes, Scarlet Demore enchanted the audience with their music. Hailing from Chicago, they play energetic rock that gets everyone dancing along to their songs. They have excellent stage presence, full of dancing, audience interaction, and an overall great vibe.  I really enjoyed this opener and would highly recommend checking out their music.

Beach Bunny

Obviously, Beach Bunny has great music. Everyone knows at least one of their songs- whether it’s Sports, Prom Queen, Painkiller, or Cloud 9. Since I had only seen them as an opener before, I wasn’t expecting them to have such a cool set in addition to the amazing music they played. Their set was very pink, pastel, and animated- much like the vibes of their album covers.

As for the music itself, while the Beach Bunny tracks people listen to on streaming services usually have a chill rock sound, their live performances are much heavier than one might expect- which I really enjoy. This even led to more mosh pits than I’ve seen at some metal shows.

I highly recommend attending a Beach Bunny concert if you get the chance. They have two more shows in Texas, and after that, they’re heading to Oklahoma, Minnesota, Illinois, and multiple locations in Europe. If you’ve never been to a Beach Bunny concert and they’re coming to your area, now’s your chance!
