Lene Lovich opened the closing show of the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour in The Woodlands, Texas, and put on a fantastic performance. The vibe of her entire set was captivating, and she had amazing stage presence. Her music and stage persona gave off a slightly off-putting energy that I was obsessed with, and I was immediately entranced. Before the show, I hadn’t listened to her music, but now she’ll definitely be on multiple playlists.
The next set of the tour was DEVO. I had wanted to see this band live for years, so being in the same space as them was incredibly exciting. Their live vocals sounded exactly like they do in the studio, and the choreography made their performance even better. They even included a costume change, which isn’t something I’m used to seeing at concerts. The stage visuals were also really cool throughout their set. All of these factors came together to make it one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended.
Like the previous two bands, The B-52’s put on a fantastic show. I’ve been listening to their music since I was a kid, so being able to attend their concert was unreal for me. They had great costumes, vibrant stage visuals, and excellent stage presence. The show was extremely fun, with plenty of great dancing throughout. Like DEVO, The B-52’s sound just as fantastic live. Overall, it was an incredible experience and one I’ll definitely remember.
