August Heats Up With a Full Slate of Concerts to Keep the Summer Season Going

July is coming to its close and with the arrival of August attention starts to turn to school, backpacks and wrapping up summer vacations. In Utah though it also also bringing with it one of the hottest months for live music this year, both literally and figuratively.

Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater is set to shine as Utahs premiere destination for live music. August’s stacked lineup reads like a festival poster: the soul, folk and blues inspired artist Hozier, metal legends Pantera, country superstar Chris Stapleton, and pop icons Cyndi Lauper and Big Time Rush will all grace the stage giving August a diverse lineup.

Meanwhile, The Maverik Center in West Valley isn’t taking a backseat. Parker McCollum kicks things off in August. Then it’s a parade of chart-toppers: Old Dominion brings their heartfelt lyrics and stadium-ready hooks on August 9th, rock juggernauts Shinedown light up the stage August 11th, and Nine Inch Nails brings an industrial edge on August 14th.

Whether you’re into country, arena-ready alt-rock, or genre-defining icons, there’s something on the calendar for everyone. August might mark the end of summer vacation, but for Utah’s music fans, it’s the beginning of a live music marathon.
