Arch Enemy Brings Symphonic Death Metal to The Masses in Salt Lake City
April 30, 2025

Melodic death metal act, Arch Enemy, are on the road, scorching stages and melting faces across the US on the Blood Dynasty 2025 Tour. This past Friday, April 25th their path of destruction brought them to The Depot in Salt Lake City for a night of unrelenting metal music and chaos in one of the best metal shows to hit Utah.
From the moment the venue doors opened at 5:30 metal music lovers filled the venue to capacity ready for a marathon of endurance. With four bands on the bill, it would be nearly three hours until Arch Enemy took the stage.
Opening the evening was Thrown into Exile who immediately ignited chaos in the venue as fans started opening pits and throwing themselves in. Next up were Baest, a death metal act from Denmark who built on that energy, feeding the fans who were ready to let loose even more. By the time Fit for an Autopsy took the stage, fans adrenaline had reached the boiling point as wave after wave of surfers started moving through the crowd and the band calling for bigger pits resulted in circles of bodies moshing around.
After a short break between sets fans got their second wind as they called for Arch Enemy. When the band strode out on the stage the crowd let out a collective roar that filled the venue and got louder as vocalist Alissa White-Gluz strode out onto the stage. Alissa’s captivating stage presence kept the audience in thrall as the power of her bandmates, Michael Amott and Joes Concepcion’s twin guitar attack, along with Sharlee D’Angelo on Bass and Daniel Erlandsson on drums anchored the show.
For the next 90 minutes fans were treated to material from the new album ‘Blood Dynasty’ which included “Dream Stealer,” “Liars and Thieves,” “Blood Dynasty” and “A Million Suns,” along with fan favorites and older material, all the while being showered in one of the best lighting shows to have graced The Depot’s stage. At the end of the evening fans demanded one more song with Arch Enemy returning to the stage and delivering not one but two more. “Nemesis” and “Fields of Desolation.”
Arch Enemy will continue on the road throughout the first half of May before the tour wraps up on May 18th in Milwaukee, WI. For a list of remaining dates and info visit Arch Enemy’s website.
